Call of Duty: Ghosts will release on November 4, 2013 and be powered by a “new next-generation Call of Duty engine”, according to new information posted by Tesco.

Additional details about Call of Duty: Ghosts – which has yet to be announced by Activision – are said to have appeared on Tesco’s website earlier today, days after the retailer first outed the game and revealed its box art.

According to an alleged product description (since removed), Call of Duty: Ghosts “ushers in the next generation of the franchise, delivering a riveting all-new gameplay experience built on an entirely new story, setting and cast, all powered by a new next-generation Call of Duty engine.”

The description also re-confirmed that Ghosts is being developed by Infinity Ward, as suggested by the game’s box art.

Tesco’s description had been removed at the time of writing, but the game’s title and release date remain visible on the retailer’s product page.

Rumours suggest that Call of Duty: Ghosts could be officially revealed this Wednesday, May 1.
