Sainsbury’s is the first of the national supermarkets to get in on the Battlefield 3 hype with a deal offering the title for £24.99 when bought with an Xbox LIVE or PSN points card.

PS3 gamers will need to buy a £25 PSN Card, whilst Xbox 360 gamers don’t have to spend quite so much, with a £17.99 2100 MS Points card needed.

It’s likely other stores will match or even better this deal come tomorrow’s launch.

Whilst not quite the Call of Duty killer EA was hoping for we reckon Battlefield 3 is still a classy multiplayer shooter.
