Mario Kart 8’s bizarre Mercedes-Benz DLC will be released for free on August 27, Nintendo has announced.

The add-on pack lets Mario and co. hop into three Mercedes-Benz vehicles, marking the first time real-world cars have featured in the series.

A new software update for the game will also release the same day tweaking online stability and allowing players to display a map of the course on your TV. That’s one less reason to own a GamePad, then…

Players will also be able to check out new statistics, such as their total number of coins collected, most frequently selected character and online win-loss record, and alter the camera in downloaded highlight reels.
