Novalogic has tried to create a game that will work on both the Xbox and the PlayStation 2, rather than churning out the same game across the board, but unfortunately neither game is worth a purchase.
Racing games aren't exactly in short supply at the launch of the PSP, so a game has to have something special to stand out in a packed crowd - Wipeout Pure has that something.
There are a few problems that prevent it from being a true classic, but it still ranks among the best launch titles for the PSP. So, like Tim Henman, not the best in the world, but pretty damn good.
