European PS3 and PS4 users won’t be able to pre-load Resident Evil ahead of its release next week, Capcom has confirmed.

Fans across Europe won’t be missing out on the cross-buy promotion offered to pre-load customers in the US, however.

Instead, players who purchase the game within the first two weeks of release will be offered cross-buy support, granting them access to both the PS3 and PS4 versions at no additional cost.

Resident Evil launches on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC next Tuesday, January 20 for £15.99, and offers up a high-definition remaster of 2002’s GameCube remake.
