Warner Brothers Games Montreal is developing a game set in the "DC Comics universe", job listings for the studio have revealed - but could it be Batman Arkham 3?

According to Time Warner's site, WB Montreal is seeking a producer and creative director to "work with its game development team responsible for expanding the DC Comics universe in the interactive space".

One of the listings cites the unannounced title as being "focused around the AAA action/adventure space", while the other asks for an "expert in next-generation AAA action/adventure games".

It was revealed yesterday that a third game in the Batman Arkham series would be released later this year.

However, online whispers also suggested that the series developer Rocksteady Studios may not be behind the upcoming title.

Warner Bros. Montreal has prior experience with the Arkham franchise, of course. The studio developed last year's Wii U port of Batman: Arkham City, Batman: Arkham City - Armoured Edition.

The developer has also teased a "big" reveal planned for "2-3 months"' time.

"In just 2-3 months, our project will be announced (in grand fashion) and it's going to be big!" the studio's senior producer Ben Mattes tweeted last week.

But is it Arkham 3?

Neither Warner Bros. or Rocksteady Studios had responded to our request for comment at the time of publishing.

Shhhhh ;)

Never had a mega CD sadly, rb. Have heard elsewhere that that one was the acceptable face of Batman games pre-Rocksteady though. I had Batman: The Movie on the Amiga back in the day. Fond memories of the balloon bit at the end...

Yep you can't really gush enough about the new batman games they are that good. And it hard to see how any new game could be messed up even if it's different devs, given that every aspect of the games are sublime and near perfect. But maybe that's tempting fate.

Oh absolutely. Rocksteady can do no wrong for me at the moment. As a Batnerd of long standing I think they've done the license proud, the first developers to ever really 'get ' Batman. Can't wait to see what they come up with next.

I agree with Grammartron. How can you not have experienced the excellence of Arkham City! You should get on that pronto.

@Grammartron My first post was just wishful thinking really but whatever happens we all know the silver age Batman game will be awesome.

Think Rocksteady are doing the next-gen Silver Age Batman game, so very likely that this game is the new Arkham I would say. Not played Armoured Edition so don't know what sort of job they did porting that across.

Maybe a Man Of Steel game to tie in with the movie. I hope it is cause id really prefer Rocksteady to stay at the helm of any new Batman game, i don't think they could fail if they tried.
Plus iv'e been waiting forever for a decent Superman game.
