Still holding out for Spotify to come to Xbox One? It might be time to start giving up hope…

Spotify has told fans that it is currently “focused” on its “exclusive partnership with PlayStation” and that it doesn’t have any details about a release for the app on Microsoft’s console.

Tweeting over the weekend, Spotify support said: “Right now we’re focused on our exclusive partnership with PlayStation, we don’t have any info regarding other consoles,” later adding that it would let its developers know that an Xbox One release is something fans would “like to see”.

Spotify launched on PS4 and PS3 in March 2015, letting users stream music while browsing the dashboard or in the background while playing a game. Background music, meanwhile, is set to arrive on Xbox One on August 2 with the release of the new Windows 10 Anniversary Update. That, however, will likely be limited to music stored on the player’s network or USB stick.
