Pre-order to gain exclusive access.
According to US video game retailer GameStop, a playable demo of THQ's upcoming destruction-heavy action title, Red Faction: Guerrilla, will be available next month.
There's a catch though. Currently it appears as though the only way to get hold of the demo is through pre-ordering the game with GameStop.
"Reserve Red Faction: Guerrilla and receive exclusive access to the demo from April 3 to April 23," states the product description.
We've contacted THQ for clarification on whether the demo will be available at a later date for gamers who don't pre-order and if there will be a similar pre-order promotion in the UK.
According to GameStop, Red Faction: Guerrilla is scheduled for release in June.
Update: THQ UK has confirmed to VideoGamer.com that it will be offering early access to the demo to a "select number" of people on April 4. Expect further details soon. The publisher also confirmed that the demo will be made available to the public at a later date.

Are they that unconfident in this game that they need to confirm a sale before letting people see or play it.
What would happen if you pre-order and then decide to cancel your order after playing the demo!

It's not like they need to keep those people who have already pre-ordered happy, if they've gone to the trouble of pre-ordering they're probably going to buy the game anyway...

Does anyone know what 'select number' actually means? It seems like a slight deviation from stating pre-orders.
Also, any update on the 'further details'? Time is running out if it's gonna be before April 4th.
