XDefiant:Times Square

Overview

In XDefiant, Times Square is a linear-type map whose design inspiration is based on the mission ‘Times Square Power Relay’ from Tom Clancy's The Division. The map became available at the game’s launch.

The Times Square map in XDefiant is different from the original source. The map is set at nighttime and has no snow. There are Riker slogans spray-painted on the walls and around the environment, such as on the overhead signboards.

Lore-wise, this version of Times Square is based in the heart of Manhattan, New York City, and is overtaken by Rikers. The location is run-down and spray-painted with slogans and vulgar expressions on the environment.

Since this is a Linerar map that progresses as you move from one objective to another, you will get to advance into the subway station and then again back in the city.

You can see all the fancy billboards in this location still up and running but the buildings cannot be entered or accessed in any fashion.
