XDefiant:Spiderbot
Overview
Spiderbot is an activated ability for the faction characters in XDefiant. Triggering the skill deploys a robot spider that finds and face-hugs a nearby opponent.
DedSec created the Spiderbot to stun their targets for some time, disabling them from shooting a weapon, slowing down the movement, and draining their health slowly.
The player being attacked by Spiderbot will get a scrambled effect on their HUD and will loose 4 health every half second for the next 5 seconds.
To avoid the Spiderbot from face-hugging, you can shoot or melee it. Using an EMP grenade will also destroy the Spiderbot immediately.
As an attacker, you earn assist points by killing an opponent if your teammate’s Spiderbot has attacked them first.
Additionally, if there are multiple Spiderbots activated at the same time by allies, they will not stun the same player. Each will find a unique target.
