XDefiant:Practice Zone
Overview
Practice Zone is a weapons, skills, equipment, and abilities testing map area in XDefiant that has been available since the launch.
For better precision practice using guns, there are stationary and moving dummies for players to aim and shoot in the Practice Zone map.
Zone Types
The map is further sub-divided into the following three zones:
- The Assault Course
- Abilities & Ultras
- Firing Range
The Assault Course
The Assault Course is a test of movement and weapon accuracy. This timed firing range trial can be accessed from the left of the spawn room with a green room leading downstairs.
The gun range course can be started by standing in the blue aura with the "Start" word on it. You will find 18 targets to shoot through your way and complete the Assault Course.
Every time you miss a shot, you will accrue a three-second penalty.
The first section of the course is inspired by The Crew franchise. This spot features one target on the left behind a stack of tires and another one found on the right side, behind a sports car. You can end this section with a climbable barricade.
The second segment of the Assault Course is inspired by Tom Clancy's The Division. This course has a target on the left behind the CERA sign and two more targets can be spotted on the right behind a penetrable wooden barrier. Just in case you can't find them, look in front of a Christmas tree. Sliding under a dedicated barricade will end the second segment of the course.
The third section of the course's design theme is based on Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. This part of the course features two targets located behind a barricade for a grenade throw. For the remaining two targets on the left in the vault area, look for targets behind a barricade to throw the grenade at. Lastly, you will get to finish the segment of the Assault Course by climbable ladder.
The fourth section of the Assault course is in fact a corner room, which is heavily decorated with Rabbids paraphernalia. To find targets in this room, look at the left from the couch. For the remaining target, spot it on the right where you will also get to see the Rabbids statue.
One look at the fifth segment of the course, and you will find that the inspiration is heavily taken from the Far Cry 5 and Far Cry 6 games. To find your first target, look at the bottom left in a tire wall. The rest of the targets in this room are behind a barricade. Use the grenade to take them out. You can finish the section by sliding under the barricade.
Finally, the last segment in the Assault course is designed after Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell theme. This room features the first target underneath an Echelon statue. The second target in this room is easily spotted by looking at the pile of equipment located at the right side. Lastly, the final two targets can be seen on the wall, that runs down a ramp. Do this action and you will complete the Assault Course in the Practice Zone of XDefiant.
