Background
Tiana Kersey, born and brought up in Queens, was looked after by her grandparents following the death of her parents in a tragic car accident. Since then, she sought to do more in life to make her family proud. Fast forward, and Kersey became the youngest biologist in New York City’s water treatment department. She took pride in her work and found satisfaction in what she did and the benefits she received, such as union support to improve her life and that of others. Over time during her career, she also found a partner to whom she got engaged. Kersey’s fiancé was one of the first-wave victims of the Green Poison virus that shook New York City. The tragic event hit her hard psychologically, and she became determined to stop the virus at any cost. The fiancé’s death pushed her to the edge, and burning people to eradicate the virus seemed like an acceptable approach to her. This is how she became one of the Cleaners in New York City.
