XDefiant:AEGIS
Overview
In XDefiant, the AEGIS is an Ultra skill for Phantoms characters. Using this skill creates a spherical shield around the user and gives them an electro-scattergun that is lethal in CQC (close-quarter combat), especially from point-blank range.
The Phantoms faction is the master of covert assault. Using the AEGIS ultra, a plasma shield surrounds the user that deflects all bullets and projectiles from the outside. Allies inside the shield will be 100% immune from the incoming damage.
On the other hand, the skill user and allies can fire bullets and projectiles outside the AEGIS shield. This works similarly to the Mag Barrier but the area of the shield is much larger.
The main user of the AEGIS shield will not be able to run but walk only. The movement speed of the allies inside the shield remains unaffected.
The AEGIS' shotgun instantly kills anyone within its barrier range. However, firing the scattergun does not speed up its depletion.
The AEGIS can be destroyed early by depleting its shields with gunfire or using six EMP grenades.
