Manor-Lords:Wheat
Wheat is a crop that is used when producing Flour and Bread in the game. By converting it to grain, you can create flour, which can then be used to make bread - one of the game's Food resources.
Wheat production
To get wheat, you'll need a Field that is optimal for producing it, in addition to a farmhouse. There are three steps to this process.
Finding the best land
First off, you'll want to make sure that the land you're planning is actually suited to grow wheat. That means you'll have to find out which sections are more fertile.
You can do this by using the view options on the right-hand side of your screen. Put simply, if the area is greener, then it's better for growing wheat.
Build a field and farmhouse
Now that you've bagged the perfect plot for your wheat production, it's time to build a field and farmhouse. Once this is done, simply click on your field, select wheat as its Crop, and assign some families to your farmhouse.
One way to speed the wheat production process up is to assign more families to the farmhouse, meaning you can harvest your precious wheat sooner!
Create a trading post
If you're rolling in Regional Wealth and your lands are not the most fertile, we'd suggest creating a Trading Post. This will allow you to import wheat directly, which can easily supply your farmhouse. Here's how much you can expect to pay and receive.
- Import price - 12 regional wealth
- Export price - 2 regional wealth
- Trading route cost - 12 regional wealth
With Better Deals development, the cost of import can be lowered from 12 to 2 regional wealth. A worthy consideration if you haven't been gifted with fertile land.
When should you plant it?
The spring season is the best time to plant wheat. This is around March through to May. Take a glance at the lower right section of your screen to see what season you're in.
