Nintendo will shortly be including a protective silicone cover for its Wii Remotes with all retail units, be that with the console, with Wii Play or solus remotes. This cover will provide extra grip and some protection against dropping your Remote on the floor.
In addition to being packed in with all retail Remotes, existing Remote owners can request Jackets for up to four Remotes. All you need to do is fill in a form found over on the Nintendo website and Nintendo will send out Jackets from mid-October, but this could take up to six weeks.
