There’s also been the news that Diablo 4 will support DLSS 3 at launch, meaning the game boasts a significant visual upgrade. That is if you have a Nvidia RTX 40-series graphics card. Amongst the 40-series family is the RTX 4070 Ti, 4080 and 4090. It sure does look tempting to invest in a next-gen graphics card, especially if you’re keen to up the frame rates in your gaming experience.
Before getting stuck into the game, it’s worth evaluating your gaming set-up to ensure you’ve got everything you need for the best gaming experience. Once you’ve began playing, the last thing you want to experience is screen lags and stutters. It’s also worth considering whether you’re looking for a graphics card for gaming in 1080p or 1440p as this will influence what graphics card you get.
Similarly, it’s worth checking out the download size of Diablo 4 before you start playing.

- Incredible cooling system
- Premium build quality
- Good value RTX 40-series card
- Large so might need new PC case
We’ve chosen the Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 4080 AMP Extreme Airo because it is one of the best value, high-end graphics cards out there, in our humble opinion.
The main reason you’d be choosing a 4080 graphics card is if you’re keen to experience Diablo 4 with superior frame rates and resolution that is achieved via upscaling technology. It’s worth adding that you wouldn’t just be investing in a 4080 graphics card for Diablo 4, but for all the other games that are being released with DLSS 3 support.

Indeed, Nvidia has stated that the adoption of DLSS 3 has occurred nearly 7x faster than DLSS 2 in its first 6 months. In other words, this is a great choice if you’re looking to future-proof your gaming setup.
Of course with a boost clock of 2565 MHz and recommended power supply of 700W, you’ll be needing to invest in a few other upgrades to support the running of this GPU. If you are tempted, we’ve covered the best PSUs, the best CPUs and the best cases for RTX 4080 should they be due for an upgrade.
Finally, the Zotac GeForce RTX 4080 comes with 2 x 110mm and 1 x 100mm fans to keep the temps on the down low. And as for the aesthetics, the Zotac edition comes in a matte-black color and features customizable RGB lighting, making your build look more stunning than ever.

- Good Ray Tracing Capabilities
- Excellent cooling system
- Great for 1440p gaming
- Goes above recommended system requirements for Diablo 4
If you just want to know our hands-down best GPU pick for Blizzard’s new dungeon crawler, we’re going to go with the MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Ventus 3X.
To start with, it has 8GB of GDDR6 RAM. This dwarfs the 2GB GDDR5 of the GeForce GTX 660 (which Blizzard recommends for an optimum experience), and will make playing the title at ultra settings and high resolutions a breeze, especially when you factor in its other specs. It’s worth considering whether 8GB is enough for gaming, but with the MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, you should be just fine.
Those include a base clock speed of 1575Mhz, which is boostable to 1800 MHz. Plus, a memory bandwidth of over 600 GB per second will allow more than enough capacity to access and load textures quickly enough for your experience to be buttery smooth.

The 3070 Ti also has the other specs you’d expect from a relatively high-end graphics card, including full DirectX 12 compatibility, 48 ray tracing cores, and over 6,000 shading units. This means you’ll be able to enjoy Diablo IV at the highest visual fidelity without any performance issues.
Even though this is a PCIe 4.0 card, it seems like the best GPU on the market right now, especially considering its current price point. Plus, the fact that it supports four display outputs (1 x HDMI and 3 x DisplayPort), you’ll also have the option of a high-performance multi-monitor setup too.
We absolutely love MSI’s version of the 3070 Ti, and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to pick up a new GPU for Diablo IV. Not only will it play the game at the highest settings, it will also continue providing incredible gaming experiences for some time to come.

- Excellent connectivity
- Excellent value
- Supports ray tracing and DLSS
- Not good for 1440p gaming
Now, for those of you who can’t wait for Diablo IV to drop, but who also need to be mindful of how much you invest into it, we’ve had a look at a number of budget GPUs on the market. After much consideration, we’ve decided to recommend this RTX 3050 from Zotac.
There are a number of reasons we picked this product. Even though it is close in specs to the 3070 Ti we talked about above, it’s available at a significantly lower price. This means you don’t need to break the bank to get a 1,552 MHz base clock speed with a 1,807 MHz boost speed.
One slight compromise made with the 3050 is the fact that the bandwidth is limited to 224 GBPS is significantly lower than some of the latest cards, but will still be more than enough to deliver a very smoothe Diablo IV experience, especially at lower resolutions.

However, it still arrives with full DX12 compatibility and Vulkan 1.3 compatibility. Plus, over 2,000 shading units and 20 ray tracing cores mean that you can still enjoy some of the latest technologies in graphics, even if you might not be able to push them to their fullest potential.
The RTX 3050 is maybe not the greatest card on the market, but it will still allow you to get some incredible performance out of your gaming rig without breaking the bank. If you want a premium gaming experience (with Diablo IV and other AAA titles), this is still a very viable option and fantastic value for money.

- Competitively priced
- Lower power requirements
- Can run hot
- Not particuarly good for overclocking
Lastly, we wanted to pick a GPU that would make a great option for 1080p gamers. We know that there are still quite a few of you out there, so we wanted to find the best option available for you. That’s where the XFX Speedster SWFT 210 RX 6600 comes in.
This is actually a surprisingly powerful graphics card at its price point. With 8GB of GDDR6 RAM (and with that memory clocked at a respectable 1750 MHz), this is still going to provide more than enough juice to plow through Diablo IV at high settings.
Speaking of frequencies, there’s a 1,626 MHz base clock speed on this card, which can boost up to 2,491 MHz. That’s an 800 MHz+ boost during those intense moments when lots of things are happening on screen, meaning the GPU can absolutely scale to meet your gaming needs.

With regards to its rendering capabilities, it is admittedly more modest than the previous two options; but it still has just under 1,800 shading units, 28 ray tracing cores, and a 32MB L3 cache, providing enough under the hood to deliver some fantastic visuals at 1080P.
Plus, full DirectX12 compatibility, Vulkan 1.3 compatibility, and a significantly lower power requirement (300W), make it a fantastic addition to any existing gaming rig. You’ll be getting access to some great next-gen features without needing to put together a brand new PC.
Although 1080p gaming might not be the best option on the market anymore, it’s still a limitation many of us have to adhere to for budget reasons. If that sounds like you, but you still need to buy a new GPU for Diablo IV, the XFX RX 6600 ticks all the right boxes at a very fair asking price.
