An issue with The Crew’s servers has been causing the game to erase player stats, Ubisoft has admitted.

The bug causes statistics like miles driven and landmarks visited to be lost, although Ubi assures that it doesn’t erase major data, including level progress or cars and money acquired.

“Lately, some players have been encountering an issue where some game statistics [were] lost,” Ubisoft community manager Natchai Stappers wrote on the game’s forum earlier this week. “Our team has been looking into it and was able to identify the issue. What was happening is that the server was sometimes unable to load your stats and erasing them.

“With today’s Patch, the server will no longer be erasing your statistics however it might still be displaying the wrong stats. In short, your stats are no longer reset but they might not be properly displayed.”

The issue will be fixed “for good” in a future patch, Stappers says, but until then, “if you want to see your stats you can log off and log back into the game a couple of times and you should see them properly.”

It is not yet clear when the patch is due to roll out or whether erased stats will be reinstated once the issue has been resolved.
