UPDATE: The PS3 version of Mass Effect 3 isn’t actually available for free after all, despite the full game appearing as such on the PlayStation Store website.

Instead, the game has been reduced to £6.49 or £5.84 to PS Plus subscribers. The confusion appears to have stemmed from the game’s free 1-hour trial, which is still available to PS Plus members.

ORIGINAL STORY: PlayStation Plus subscribers can download the PS3 version of Mass Effect 3 free for the next three weeks.

The game will be available for free until April 16, although it isn’t yet clear whether it forms part of next month’s PS Plus line-up. The game would normally set you back £15.99.

Sony has previously confirmed that PS3 stealth hit Dishonored will be included in next month’s Instant Game Collection, with the full PS Plus line-up due to be announced next week.

If you’re a PS Plus member, download Mass Effect 3 now by heading through to PlayStation Store.
