Even though we’re still fully in the swing of patch 1.0 of Zenless Zone Zero, people are always looking to what’s next for these live-service games. With a new patch, we can expect new S-Rank Agents and more content to jump into, which in ZZZ’s case will be more ways to earn Polychrome to pull on the Signal Search banners.
While any and all leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt, the information regarding the Polychrome currency has been taken directly from those playing the 1.1 closed beta test of the patch. HoYoverse sends these invites out for the upcoming patch as soon as an update goes live. In the case of ZZZ, patch 1.0 was the beginning but a lucky few got to jump right into patch 1.1.
Earnable Polychrome in ZZZ 1.1
Posting in r/Zenlesszonezeroleaks_, user ZZZ_Art has shared a breakdown of all the Polychrome we can expect to earn, displaying it in a handy image. If you’re a full F2P player, you’ll supposedly be able to earn 9,910 Polychrome, which is the equivalent of 60 pulls. On top of this, the leak indicates we’ll get 15 Master Tape and 15 Encrypted Master Tape, which brings us to a total of 90 pulls given to you completely free in the next patch.
This number is extremely generous, and you’ll earn even more Polychrome if you buy the Battle Pass and the Inter-Knot Subscription. With both of these, which you will have to spend money on, you’ll get roughly 15,000 Polychrome, which will translate to 93 pulls on the Signal Search of your choice. All told, with the standard 15 Master Tape and 15 Encrypted Master Tape, you’re looking at 123 pulls for those who spend money to get the daily Inter-Knot Subscription and the Battle Pass.
By the OP’s own admission, this graphic doesn’t include the Polychrome reward from most of the events in patch 1.1, which they say is because: “it has been impossible to find them (possibly they are not in the beta). For now consider that there are 7 events that have not been added in the count”. This means the number of Polychrome and pulls we’ll get might actually be higher when patch 1.1 comes out.
Naturally, this number of Polychrome and Master Tapes won’t be given immediately but will be earnable throughout the course of the patch. You should also take this information with a grain of salt as it is a leak based on the closed beta version of the upcoming patch.
