Xbox has unveiled the four offerings for Xbox Games With Gold subscribers for May 2022.
The first of these is the excellent Yoku’s Island Express. It’s a platformer with a twist, as you control the titular dung beetle and his packages like a pinball. So expect a cross between a metroidvania and Sonic Spinball as you navigate the levels, delivering parcels. It was one of former editor Colm’s favourite games back in 2018. That’ll be available from May 1 through to May 31.
Then, from May 16 through to June 15, subscribers can grab The Inner World – The Last Monk. The game challenges you to embark on an adventure through Asposia to find the last wind monk. You’ve got three characters to play as, Robert, Laura and Peck – who’s a flightless pigeon.
On the 360 side, it’s a couple of classics. First up is Hydro Thunder Hurricane, the Xbox Live Arcade speedboat racer from 2010. That’s available from May 1 until May 15, before being replaced by Viva Pinata Party Animals on May 16. It’s a minigame collection of 40 games featuring characters from Rare’s green-fingered favourite.
