Yes, Stalker 2 Mod.IO Integration is coming to Xbox the same day as PC 

The Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl Q2 2025 roadmap is here, promising a host of A-Life improvements, new weapons and more for the open-world survival game. 

Alongside the fixes to A-Life, one of the biggest features of the new roadmap is the release of the game’s Mod SDK, allowing players to create bigger, more impressive mods. While we already have amazing mods like Stalker Infinity, this will allow modders to create new environments, mechanics and much more. 

Alongside the release of the game’s mod tools, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl will also add both Mod.IO and Steam Workshop integration into the game. This will allow players to directly download and install mods within the game, change their load order and more. 

In a comment to VideoGamer, GSC Game World confirmed that the mod integration for Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is launching simultaneously across Xbox and PC. While mod support was confirmed to be coming to Xbox, the studio has stated that both platforms will receive Mod.IO integration at the same time. 

GSC Game World confirmed that Xbox Series X and Series S owners will be able to download the exact same mods as PC players as long as they’re available on the Mod.IO service. Similar to games like Space Engineers, SkaterXL and more, new assets, missions and more are all allowed on the Microsoft platform. 

Of course, not every mod will work particularly well on console. Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a beast of a game, and modders are undoubtedly going to add some very intensive graphics mods once they get their hands on the official mod tools. While players will be able to install these graphics mods, they should be wary of performance, especially on Xbox Series S.
