Speaking at a PAX panel this past weekend, VP of Xbox and Windows gaming Mike Ybarra confirmed that keyboard and mouse controls will ‘definitely’ be coming to Xbox One, but didn’t mention what games will first use it on the system.

He addressed the concern of ‘fairness,’ as he put it, and how those playing with keyboard and mouse would have an advantage over consoles. He said that ‘we’ll coach developers to say, “look, you’ve got to think about your multiplayer pools”. If you have a competitive game, people probably are going to want the choice to say, “I’ll play with other keyboard and mouse people”, “I’ll play with only controller people,” or you know what,”I’ll play with any of those.”‘

You can watch the clip below (thanks to Xbox E3 Fans) to hear Ybarra confirming what console players have wanted for some time. But the ‘fairness’ issue is definitely one that will have to be addressed in some way shape or form, so it’ll be interesting to see how they tackle that, going forward.
