Following hot on the heels of the rumour that Spotify is coming to the Xbox One, the officially unconfirmed Spotify app now has a product listing on the Xbox Store. Visually, the Xbox Spotify app looks to be pretty much the same as the PS4 version, and that’s no bad thing.

The product description seems to confirm that the Xbox app will have exactly the same functionality as the PS4 version. This will enable you to play your favourite albums, podcasts and playlists from your Spotify account and also use your smart devices to switch between tracks or change songs while playing your games. Like the PS4 version, there will be a free version which has ads, and if you’re a premium user, higher quality audio.

There’s no official word on when Spotify will actually release on Xbox One, but it shouldn’t be far off now. Also, it’s not fair seeing Larry Hryb using it when we can’t.
