External hard drive support will be introduced to Xbox One “soon”, according to an anonymous Xbox One developer, hinting at the possibility of the feature being included in the next Xbox One system update.

The developer posted an image (pictured above) of the functionality on Reddit along with the caption: “Adding more hype on the list of things to come”.

“I give you this,” they said. “Soon…”

Users taking part in the Xbox One preview programme have already received a taster of what to expect from future Xbox One updates, which is reported to include fixes to Party Chat and a new way to manually check for system updates.

Microsoft has yet to formally detail functionality included in future updates but has previously said that it is working on introducing external hard drive support.
