Xbox Cloud Gaming gets Clarity Boost feature on PC

Xbox has announced a new Clarity Boost feature coming to Xbox Cloud Gaming on PC through Microsoft Edge browser.

As per the announcement, both parties have teamed up to offer the feature. It’s uses a “set of client-side scaling improvements’ to make games look better when using Xbox Cloud Gaming on PC. Of course, you’ll have to use the Microsoft Edge browser to take advantage, but you can see the results in this image of Gears Tactics protagonist Gabe Diaz over here.

The new feature rolls out first to those on the test branch of the browser known as Microsoft Edge Canary. It’ll then be rolled out to all Microsoft Edge users later by some point in 2022. At the time of writing, there’s no word on if the feature will come to other browsers or consoles, so we’ll have to wait and see.

If you’re interested in giving Clarity Boost a go for yourself, download Microsoft Edge Canary from here. Then go to the Xbox Cloud Gaming website and login. From there, open the more actions menu and enable Clarity Boost in the options. You can find more information on the Xbox Insiders Reddit.

Xbox Cloud Gaming’s had a few new arrivals of late, including Mortal Shell and today’s launch of Evil Genius 2: World Domination.
