A number of credible sources are claiming that Xbox and Bethesda could be holding a showcase event for later this month.
According to Windows Central journalist Jez Corden, the showcase will be entitled the Xbox & Bethesda ‘Developer_Direct’ and take place on January 25 at 12pm PT (8pm UK time) but “may be subject to change”.

As per the report, the games expected to appear at the show include Redfall, Forza Motorsport and Minecraft Legends.
Notably, these are three major first party games all expected to release in the first half of 2023, but don’t have specific release dates just yet.
Conspicuous by its absence is Starfield, though the report also claims the show ‘won’t be a full blown E3-scale kind of show, and will be a more intimate look at some upcoming exclusives.’ Therefore, it’s assumed that that the eagerly awaited RPG may get a bigger show to itself later on in the year.
Fans have been curious as to Xbox and Bethesda’s plans for 2023 following a rather quiet end to 2022. In fact, the console owner barely had a presence at all during this year’s The Game Awards show back in December.
At the time, VP of Xbox Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg tweeted to reassure fans that Xbox had major plans for the next twelve months.
“We have a lot planned to show and share about an incredibly exciting year ahead for 2023. Appreciate folks are eager to learn and see more. Timing is always key, but don’t worry – you will not have to wait too long for what’s next from us.”
At the time of writing, Xbox are yet to confirm this showcase – so take this report with the required pinch of salt. However, should official word come – we’ll let you know, along with any news from the showcase itself.
