The third chapter of Wuthering Waves is right around the corner. This is a very exciting installment of the game that fans have been eagerly anticipating ever since WuWa developer, Kuro, confirmed leaks saying we are getting Youhu and, most importantly, The Shorekeeper. Here you will find the release date and start time countdown for when Wuthering Waves update 1.3 will come out, and you will also find all of the banner characters for each phase of the season.
While the upcoming arrival of 1.3 is very exciting, fans are also looking forward to the arrival of 1.4 in November. This is because it is set to introduce Camellya, who fans have wanted since the game’s launch, along with a new character named Lumi, who looks 3x better in-game compared to her drip marketing. In addition, although there’s no ETA for when it will happen, we’re also awaiting the day WuWa drops on PS5.
We still don’t know if WuWa is going to land on PS5 consoles before the end of the year, but right now Wuthering Waves update 1.3 is set to come out tomorrow. The release date and start time countdown is nearly over, and there will be a lot to enjoy.
Wuthering Waves update 1.3 release date
The release date for Wuthering Waves update 1.3 is September 29th. This is confirmed by Kuro on the game’s official X account.
Once the new WuWa chapter launches, you will immediately be able to pull for The Shorekeeper. As for Youhu, you will need to wait until October 24th. The Shorekeeper is a 5-stars heroine with some great unique skills and abilities, whereas Youhu is 4-stars.
When does Wuthering Waves update 1.3 come out?
The release time for when Wuthering Waves update 1.3 will come out and start is 8PM PT and 11PM ET on September 28th, and 4AM BST on September 29th.
Per Kuro’s maintenance notice, the game will be offline at 4AM until 11AM UTC+8 on September 29th. This should translate to the game going offline at 1PM PT/4PM ET/10PM BST on September 28th and coming back online at the release times mentioned above.
You will not be able to log into the game during maintenance, and, once maintenance is completed, players will be rewarded with 300 Astrite and 2 Crystal Solvent.

How to preload
You can only preload Wuthering Waves update 1.3 if you play on PC. In addition to playing on PC, you need to have download version 1.6.2 of the game’s launcher. Provided you have updated the official launcher, the “New version Pre-download appears below the Start button”.
On PC the download size is 30GB whereas on Android and iOS it is 16GB. Below are the minimum and recommended system requirements for all devices:
