Wuthering Waves update 1.2 isn’t even out yet, but fans are massively excited for 1.3 thanks to the confirmation of two new playable characters. One of the upcoming characters is The Shorekeeper, and she captured the hearts of many thanks to her appearance and description. Here you will find the release date for The Shorekeeper in Wuthering Waves, along with exciting leaks concerning her abilities and skills.
While she will arrive in update 1.3, way before then we have the release date for update 1.2. The new 1.2 banner characters are exciting prospects, and leaks have revealed buffs and nerfs for Zhezhi and Xianli Yao prior to their playable debuts. There are other huge 1.2 leaks that has resulted in fans thanking Kuro for listening to the community.
Update 1.2 is exciting, but it feels as if some of the thunder has been stolen as fans are looking ahead to 1.3 solely for The Shorekeeper. Her release date will be part of update 1.3, and she could become a Wuthering Waves fan-favorite judging by leaks.
Wuthering Waves The Shorekeeper release date
The expected release date for The Shorekeeper in Wuthering Waves is October 17th.
Update 1.3 phase 1 is currently expected to launch on September 26th, meaning phase 2 should launch on October 17th. It’s possible The Shorekeeper could be part of phase 1, but fans should bet on her coming out as part of phase 2 instead as she was announced on the game’s socials after Youhu.
The two confirmed 1.3 banner characters are Youhu and The Shorekeeper. Earlier leaks suggested we might be getting Camellya, but that no longer appears to be the case. However, leaks were accurate in claiming that the new characters for 1.3 would both be female.
Skills and abilities leaks
Kuro has confirmed that The Shorekeeper is 5-stars. Their Twitter announcement provides the following description:
“Of the Black Shores, a mysterious divine being governing the essence of aloofness, emerges in response to your summon. Having spent eons in guardianship, the first stirrings of emotion and desire awaken within her heart, fostering a firm determination to connect with the world — and with you.”
While the above are official details, leaks have provided titbits about her skills and abilities. According to Tieba (via WuWa_Universe), some leaked details about her skills and abilities are as follows:
- Weapon: Rectifier
- Buffs damage and heals
- Skill has 3 levels of domain expansion
- Special intro animation similar to Calcharo’s
- Can transform into a butterfly to explore the world
None of the above is official but it’s exciting nonetheless. Fans are particularly stoked by the leak which suggests that, outside of combat, she can transform into a butterfly as a means to explore the open-world.
