Wuthering Waves leak shows buff and nerfs to Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao before release

Wuthering Waves has just recently seen the release of Changli, and this is the final debut before the arrival of update 1.2. We are set to get Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao as banner characters in 1.2, and fans are excited for their release. While we still have a while to wait, a Wuthering Waves leak has shown buffs and nerfs for Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao in the 1.2 beta.

There is a lot to be excited about for the future of WuWa. The game has been announced for PS5 consoles sometime in the future, meanwhile, leaks have teased new playable characters for 1.3. As for 1.2, more huge leaks have resulted in fans praising developer Kuro for listening to the community, and another leak suggests a big upgrade is on the way that Genshin Impact fans have wanted for years.

While all of the above is exciting, fans are also anticipating the official arrivals of Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao. Both are set to debut in Wuthering Waves update 1.2, and a leak shows they have received buffs and nerfs in the 1.2 beta that is taking place before the update’s launch.

Wuthering Waves Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao buffs and nerfs

On the Wuthering Waves leaks subreddit, OP Ok_Department_6002 has shared a post titled, ‘Beta 1.2.4: Changes to Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao‘. The post is accompanied with a screenshot from the Stormy Waves Discord, and it includes a list of buffs and nerfs posted by a user named Lor.

Below are the listed buffs and nerfs for Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao:

Wuthering Waves Beta Update 1.2.4:

Zhezhi:

• Buff to Resonance Skill: Increases Basic Attack DMG multiplier by 18% for 25s -> 27s.
• Buff to weapon passive: Basic Attack DMG Bonus while Zhezhi is off-field will increase by 52%-104% and last 25s -> 27s.
• Swapped the S1 and S2 buffs: the S1 increases the Crit Rate by 10% for 25s and by 15 Resonance Energy when the Resonance Skill is used. The S2 doubles Resonance Liberation’s Coordinated Attacks.

Xiangli Yao:

• Resonance Liberation damage nerf: 1625.34% -> 1332.78% (first attack only, no doompost)
• Change to Inherent Skill: Gain 15% Electro DMG Bonus -> When using Resonance Skill, gain 5% Electro DMG Bonus for 8s. It can have a maximum of 4 stacks.
• New S1: When using the Resonance Skill: Universal Law, it will cause 6 additional instances of damage, each hit doing 8% of the Resonance Skill’s original damage.
• Buff at S5: Outro Skill 170% -> 222.09%, Resonance Liberation 100% -> 120%
• Nerf to S6: Damage multiplier Resonance Skill: Law of Reigns 100% -> 76%

Beta 1.2.4: Changes to Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao

The official Wuthering Waves Twitter account has confirmed Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao will arrive in 1.2. Because she was posted on socials first, the expected release date for Zhezhi is August 15th, one day after the Changli banner concludes on August 14th. As for Xiangli Yao, they are expected to arrive sometime in September, but no launch dates are confirmed as of writing.

In addition to these buffs and nerfs from the beta, leaks have shown “beautiful” gameplay and idle animations for Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao alongside their skills in combat.
