Publisher Koch Media and developer Saber Interactive have announced that the World War Z: Aftermath expansion will launch on September 21.

The expansion will take the zombie action of the campaign in all new international locations. These include the Vatican City in Rome and in the Russian peninsula of Kamchatka. You’ll not only be able to play as both new and returning characters, but the game will also feature an all-new first-person mode.

The expansion will bring the number of playable classes to eight with the new Vanguard class. There’s also a revamped melee system that’ll add a bunch of new ways to take the hordes down. You’ll also need to keep your eyes peeled for a new enemy in the form of hordes of mutated rats.

It’s also been announced that the promised Nintendo Switch version of the original World War Z game will land this Autumn. Meanwhile, the next-generation version of the expansion will arrive early next year for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 and will be playable in 4K at 60FPS. It’ll also include a new Horde Mode XL, which will be patched into the PC version post launch.
