Nintendo’s Wii console has now sold more than 35 million units in the US, according to the latest data from the NPD Group.

More than 454,000 Wii consoles sold in February, pushing the Wii past the 35 million mark faster than any other console in US history.

February was also a successful month for Wii software. Just Dance 2 from Ubisoft sold more than 554,000 copies, Donkey Kong Country Returns crossed the 2 million mark, and Super Mario Bros. Wii crossed the 8 million sales mark.

On the DS Pokemon SoulSilver crossed the 2 million sales mark, while New Super Mario Bros. passed 9 million in sales.
