After watching the exciting and action packed 1st trailer for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, everyone is wondering “Who is the villain in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts?”
Because, as we all know, what is a hero without a villain to fight. Someone who not only challenges our hero/heroes but who provides enough of a threat that no one but our heroes stand a chance of defeating them.
In the Transformers movies so far, we’ve had several memorable villains already. From the maniacal Megatron, to the traitorous Sentinel Prime, to the deadly Shockwave, to the cunning Galvatron.
The Transformers movies have had no shortage of memorable and striking villains pulled from the franchises rich history. But, who will be the next villain pulled from Transformers lore to serve as the villain of Rise of the Beasts?

Who is the villain of Rise of the Beasts who will menace the Transformers heroic Autobots next?
It’s been confirmed that Scourge will be the villain for Rise of the Beasts and he will be voiced by emmy winning Game of Thrones actor, Peter Dinklage.
Beyond this though, it’s still unclear if the character will be based on the villain, Scourge, from the original or Generation 1 as it’s also know, Transformers lore, or if it will be an entirely new character.
As, in the original lore, Scourge was the re-incarnated form of the Decepticon, Thundercracker, who was killed in 1986’s animated Transformers: The Movie, and transformed by the living planet, Unicron, to serve as the huntsman of Galvatron, the new body and persona of former Decepticon leader, Megatron.
But, as Rise of the Beasts is set decades before the events of 2014’s Transformers: Age of Extinction which saw Megatron become Galvatron before being turned back to Megatron sometime between the end of Age of Extinction and 2017’s Transformers: The Last Knight.
It is unclear if the Scourge who will be seen in Rise of the Beasts will also be a servant of Megatron or if he will be an entirely new character. As with the inclusion of both the Terrorcons and Predacons factions, could Scourge be a leader of one or both of these factions.
While we don’t know yet, as soon we do know, we will update this article with the answer.
