The highly anticipated launch of Black Ops 6 is fast approaching, but before that, the always-present beta period is set to take place. Like always, to participate in the open beta and early access periods, you’ll have to either pre-order the game or subscribe to Xbox Game Pass. However, there is another way to get into the beta without spending any money: by watching the CDL Champs broadcast this coming Sunday at 12 pm PT / 3 pm ET / 8 pm GMT.
During that time, Activision will be giving away 50,000 Black Ops 6 beta codes for free, which means you can try the game out if you’re lucky enough to get one. But before you can stake your claim for one of these precious codes, you must fulfill a couple of requirements. First, you have to link your YouTube account to your Call of Duty account via the CDL website. Second, you need to watch (or leave the stream running in the background) for a minimum of 60 minutes to be eligible.
Watching for 60 minutes will earn you your first beta code sweeps ticket. If you want to earn more chances for a code, you’ll need to watch for a total of 90 and 120 minutes to get two additional sweeps tickets. If you want to earn even more CoD goodies, the CDL broadcast has a few rewards in store for viewers who tune in to the streams, starting this Thursday all the way to the main event on Sunday. Some of the items you can get include calling cards, double XP tokens, and more. Check them all out here.
If you win one of the 50,000 Black Ops 6 beta codes up for grabs, Activision will notify you via email within 72 hours. So before the event begins, make sure to link your YouTube and CoD accounts and ensure that each account detail is correct. Otherwise, you might miss out on trying the BO6 beta free of charge.
