Volition will announce a new IP at E3, according to one of the studio’s former creative directors.

Jacques Hennequet, who left the developer last month according to LinkedIn, says that during his time there he “worked with a number of familiar faces, old friends really and some new ones, on an IP that will be announced at E3 2016”.

Volition is rumoured to be working on a new title called ‘Agents of Mayhem’, which had been thought to be linked to its Saints Row franchise. The wording in Hennquet’s CV, however, suggests that it could be a brand new IP. A trademark for Agents of Mayhem was registered by Volition’s parent company Koch Media earlier this year.

The announcement could come ahead of E3, however, with rumours pointing toward a reveal later today. Deep Silver has previously said that it is planning a “major announcement” for this year’s show.

Volition’s latest game, Saints Row 4, launched in summer 2013. E3, meanwhile, kicks off in LA next Tuesday, June 14.
