VideoGamer.com is expanding. We’re established in the UK and doing pretty well, but there’s a whole European gaming audience that we currently don’t cater to. That is something we’re on the road to correcting, with the launch of VideoGamer Portugal.

As you can see, VideoGamer Portugal looks a lot like VideoGamer.com, except it has a load of Portuguese words on it. Those words are being written and managed by Tiago Silva (Managing Director) and Pedro Martins (Editor), as well as a small team of writers.

If you can read Portuguese, use a translator, or see pictures, you’ll see that VideoGamer Portugal already features reviews for the likes of BioShock Infinite, Luigi’s Mansion 2, and Gears of War Judgment – they’ve all got pretty high review scores so there’s probably not much room for trolling them, although they did give Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate a 6/10, which is low enough to warrant some low level forum trolling if you’re that way inclined.

“I am very proud to join the VideoGamer family – it’s one of the most important UK gaming websites and I am really excited to work with their team.” said Tiago, enthusiastically. “I’ve made it my mission to make VideoGamer the premier gaming site in Portugal.”

“É ótimo finalmente ser capaz de ver o conteúdo escrito por nossa equipe de Português, mesmo se eu não conseguir entender nada”, disse o editor Tom VideoGamer.com Orry. “Esperamos que o público de jogos Português vai encontrar uma nova casa no Videogamer Portugal.”

Feel free to head over to VideoGamer Portugal to say hello to Tiago, Pedro, and co. It’ll help if you understand Portuguese, obviously.
