Vampire action RPG Code Vein will receive a demo for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, starting next week.

Code Vein is like an anime Dark Souls, but vampire venom courses through it. Bandai Namco first announced the game at E3 2017, but then delayed its release to tweak and revise the title based on overwhelming positive feedback from playtesters. At the time, Bandai Namco Entertainment America's vice president of marketing Eric Hartness said, ‘Armed with knowledge of how well the game has already been received, we made the decision to postpone the release of Code Vein to further refine its gameplay in an effort to exceed the expectations fans already have of the title.’

The game will release at the end of next month, but if you’re chomping at the bit to get stuck into the world of Vein, a demo was announced earlier this week. From September 3, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will be able to sample a taste of what the full game has in store for them. The demo trailer showed co-op gameplay, so hopefully players will be able to team up and explore. And if you’ve got a PC, you’ll have to sit tight for a little longer, as this is a console-exclusive event.

Code Vein will be released for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 27, 2019. Watch the demo announcement trailer below.
