Valorant Episode 6 Act 1 release date set for January 10

Riot Games has set the date for the next big update to free-to-play shooter Valorant, with Episode 6: Revelation kicking off later this week.

The new Episode promises some big changes in the shooter, including a brand new map and a whole new Battle Pass for players to earn.

Valorant Episode 6 Act 1 release date

Valorant Episode 6 Act 1 will launch on Tuesday, January 10. An exact time for the update hasn’t been confirmed at the time of writing.

However, we can get a general idea of when we might see the update based on the maintainece downtime for the previous act.

Usually, Riot takes the game down at around 6:00 PT or 9:00 ET in the US, and around 20:00 PT or 23:00 ET in Europe – which is around 4am in UK time on January 11th.

We don’t know how long the game will be down for, as it’ll depend how long it takes Riot to update the backend and let everyone back online – but hopefully it won’t be too long.

Episode 6 of the game is entitled Revelation – and will bring with it “the wonders of a forgotten world” – or so we’re teased. This will include a new map by the name of Lotus – which will also introduce some new mechanics such as destructible walls.

The new act will also bring along some brand new skins – called the Araxys line. These are based on an alien design, and will be available following the season launch.

Riot will be showing off more of what the new Episode has to offer in a livestream, taking place on Monday evening at 6pm UK time on the game’s official Twitch channel.
