Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 holds onto the No.1 spot for a second week, despite an 86 per cent drop on launch week sales.

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed II therefore has to settle for second place, although achieved 12 per cent higher unit sales than its predecessor which entered at No.1 in week 46, 2007.

Nintendo's New Super Mario Bros. Wii is new at No.3, followed by Wii Sports Resort at No.4 and Wii Fit Plus at No.5. EA's FIFA 10 is down to No.6 and Valve's Left 4 Dead 2 is a new entry at No.7.

Outside the Top 10, F1 2009 is new at No.11 for Codemasters (81 per cent on Wii), Lego Indiana Jones 2 debuts at No.16, The Sims 3: World Adventures claimed 36th place and LittleBigPlanet on PSP sneaks into the Top 40 at No.38. Dragon Age Origins slipped four places to No.17 despite the newly released PS3 version hitting stores.

Next week look out for strong debuts for Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles and Lego Rock Band, although don't expect much to change at the business end of the chart.
