Ubisoft’s Far Cry Primal is the new UK No.1 video game, with sales split 58 per cent on PS4 and 42 per cent on Xbox One, reports Chart-Track.

EA’s Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 is new in second place, though it’s Xbox One which dominates the sales taking a 60 per cent cut on week one. PS4 managed 40 per cent. The original game launched as a timed exclusive on Xbox One and has also benefited from being included in the Xbox One EA Access offering, opening up the title to even more players. Garden Warfare 2 sales are up 31 per cent over the original.

The new releases mean Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 slips two places into third, unable to add to its 11 weeks at No.1. It’s even worse news for Street Fighter V, which slumps 78 per cent in unit sales, enough to see it drop from second to tenth, no doubt hampered by its launch woes and lack of content.
