A demo of the opening level of Tomb Raider: Legend has been released and gives PC gamers the chance to try out the game before its release across Europe on April 7. Unfortunately the 480MB demo does not include any of the ‘Next-Gen’ content, but instead this will be included in a demo patch/update expected to be released when the game hits retail. The demo can be downloaded direct from the game’s official website.

News that the latest in the Tomb Raider series is to make its way to the GameCube has also emerged. Speaking to IGN, North American CEO Bill Gardner said, “our new management team believes that the Nintendo platforms have been neglected and that the platforms provide a great opportunity for Tomb Raider to gain exposure to a new audience.“

Unfortunately for Cube owners, the game won’t be shipping this week, but sometime in the autumn. Tomb Raider: Legend on the on Xbox 360, Xbox, PC, and PlayStation 2 will be in stores across Europe on Friday, April 7. The PSP version will follow at a later date.
