THQ has confirmed it won’t be spending big bucks to create a booth at E3, instead choosing to show off its titles much more quietly to press and business people.

“We’re not producing a booth, but we will be participating in E3,” a THQ rep told GamesIndustry. “We will be showing games to the E3 judges at their event coming up, and we’ll be hosting a press and business centre at the show for meetings (as well as participating with first party activities).”

The rep added that back when the publisher needed to make the decision on whether to go with a booth, it was “in a MUCH different place than today,” suggesting the decision was made largely because of financial concerns.

GamesIndustry has learned that an E3 booth can run upwards of $1.

THQ has the likes of Darksiders II, the newly announced Saints Row: The Third – Enter the Dominatrix, the leaked Company of Heroes II, the inevitable WWE 13 and possibly the Homefront sequel on its behind-closed-doors plate at E3.
