This seems familar. THQ Nordic has gone on record to confirm that, yes, Dead Island 2 is indeed still in development at an investor presentation last night.

During the presentation here (as spotted by GamesRadar) in which THQ Nordic CEO Lars Wingfors looks to the slate of releases on the company's books over the near future, Dead Island 2 gets a brief mention as still being worked on by the company, telling those gathered to 'stay tuned' for more information.

It's not a lot to go on, but it's something. It's now been five years since Dead Island 2 was first announced, and has gone through several developers since. The last we heard about the game was around this time last year, when the game's official Twitter account assured people the game was still in development.
