An entirely new game based on Bulfrog’s Theme Park is to be released later this year for iOS devices, EA has confirmed. The game is being created using a 3D engine and will be a free download with micro-transaction elements.
Just like the original, players will take control of a new Theme Park, building rides, hiring staff and doing what they can to ensure visitors are happy and the money is rolling in.
EA will also be encouraging players to speed up progress to new rides and attractions by buying in-game currency with real money.
Not one to miss a marketing opportunity, EA is also including attractions based on its biggest franchises, including Mass Effect, Dragon Age and Dead Space.
The universal free app will be released later this year, complete with cloud storage via EA’s Origin.
