The Sims – the most successful PC game ever – was bought, it seems, by everybody in the known universe. Twice. So it goes without saying that given the phenomenal success of it’s’ predecessor, hopes have been high for the sequel to The Sims, which was released in the UK on September 24th.
And thus far it has started to deliver; EA has announced that it has hit the magical first million sales, with over 50% being sold in Europe. It is safe to say that this figure will continue to rise over the next few weeks/months/years – the original game and various expansion packs have sold over 10 million units worldwide.
EA also confirmed that the title is their biggest PC launch in their history; expect further records to be broken in due course.
