Sengi Games and Team17 have announced that alchemy action adventure The Serpent Rogue will arrive on consoles & PC this April.

You’ll play as a character known only as The Warden. It’s their job to get rid of a corruption infecting the world known as The Serpent Rogue. You’ll have to use a bunch of tools and, specifically, your keen alchemy skills to restore balance to Mount Morbus.

Said alchemy will be a key ingredient (pun not intended) of the game. Regular storms sweep the land, and change up locations and the items you find within them. You’ll be collecting ingredients, researching their properties and making concoctions that allow you to progress and fight enemies. However, what you choose to use will also have consequences on the world.

For example, if you leave any corpses unburied after digging them up for ingredients, expect ghouls to haunt the lands. If you leave too much rubbish on your travels, expect the world’s rodent population to increase. You’ll have to manage all this while you’re neck deep in your potion brewing endeavours.

You can check out a trailer for the game for yourself down below. The Serpent Rogue will land on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC on April 26.
