Sony has denied rumours that The Last of Us Remastered is due to be released next week following a series of tweets from retailer GAME.
GAME’s Barnsley store sparked the release date rumour yesterday after it tweeted that “The Last of Us hits PS4 next week!”, and posted an image of a flyer featuring a June 13 release date.
But in a statement provided to Gamespot, a Sony representative said: “The release date is not June 13. As we’ve announced, The Last of Us Remastered for PS4 will release this summer. We will keep you posted on an official release date.”
Some fans – ourselves included – were hoping for a surprise release shortly after Sony’s E3 press conference next week. Maybe we’ll just get a release date instead?
