The First Descendant Season 1 has just recently come out, and it is full of fantastic new content along with great quality-of-life improvements. It has introduced Hailey as a playable character, and she is a wicked addition to the TFD roster. Nexon has just shared The First Descendant update 1.1.0b patch notes, and this delivers a couple of fixes along with a buff to Hailey’s drop rates as a result of fan feedback.

You can check out The First Descendant Season 1 patch notes to see all of the new content, improvements, and fixes delivered by Nexon. In addition, make sure to grab a new free bundle that released with Season 1 as it includes Ultimate Weapon skins along with some other cosmetic items. There are also rewards you can get between now and September 29th by completing Daily and LTM challenges.

Since the launch of TFD in July, Nexon has done a great job listening to the community and adhering to the results of fan feedback. This is proven once more in The First Descendant update 1.1.0b patch notes as they have buffed the drop rate of research materials for Hailey.

The First Descendant update 1.1.0b patch notes

Below are The First Descendant update 1.1.0b patch notes as shared on X:

  • Increased Hailey’s Research Material(Enhanced Cells, DNA, Stabilizer, Spiral Catalyst, Data Chip) drop rate in Infiltration Operation
  • To prevent AFK farm in Void Fusion Reactors where Vulgus Elites are spawned, at least 2 Vulgus Elites will be spawned.
  • Fixed an issue where the Intercept Battle Results Screen was crashed intermittently.
  • Fixed an issue where frame drop occurs when using [PC] Nvidia DLSS Frame Generation

Of course, the biggest highlight of this update is the buff to the drop rates for Hailey’s research materials. Unfortunately, it’s not specified exactly how much the drop rate has been increased in Infiltration Operation.

A grind is inevitable as that’s just the nature of the beast in live service experiences, but hopefully it is no longer so excessive. Before this update, many players were understandably bemoaning the grind as even more excessive than for Ultimates.

If you don’t want to grind at all, you can simply buy Hailey for 900 caliber. You can get 1,060 caliber for £15.99 (via PSN store).
