The First Descendant Ines Raya release date and skills with new skins, event and rewards

The First Descendant Season 2 has already introduced Keelan as a new character, but, unlike Season 1, another new playable hero is on the way. It was love at first sight for many fans, but now Nexon has explained why she should be so anticipated beyond just her stunning looks. The release date for Ines Raya in The First Descendant is close, and here you will find an overview of her skills as well as accompanying new skins, event, and rewards.

Nexon has provided a roadmap for TFD for the first half of 2025. The developer has previously stated that photo mode is expected to arrive in Season 3, and Nexon has now shared when “jiggle physics” will be added to the game.

While there is a lot to anticipate for Season 3 and beyond, right now the second half of Season 2 is right around the corner. It includes the release date for Ines Raya, but there will also be an assortment of new The First Descendant skins, along with an event, to celebrate Lunar New Year.

The First Descendant Ines Raya release date

The release date for Ines Raya in The First Descendant is January 16th. This was confirmed by Nexon during their Season 2 Second Update Dev Preview livestream.

Upon her release, players will be able to farm her via Void Vessel hard more. In addition, when she comes out, players who still do not have Keelan will be able to farm him via Void Vessel medium mode.

One of the best, and most popular, aspects of TFD is undoubtedly the super appealing portrayal of its characters, and Ines Raya is certainly no exception. Her default appearance comes with blonde hair tied at the back into a bun, and she wears full black leather that shows off her curves.

The First Descendant Ines Raya skills

Nexon previously revealed that Ines Raya has electric-based abilities in The First Descendant, but now they have revealed more details about her skillset.

Below is everything revealed about the skills for Ines Raya:

• Attribute: Electricity
• Passive – Plasma Vibration:
  • Skill critical rate increase with higher MP
  • Critical hits on enemies in conductor state generate Dark currents, cascading damage to nearby enemies

• Chain Lighting (Singular):
  • Draw lightning bolts while moving around, drives enemies into conductor space, and deals additional DMG to enemies already in conductor space
• Conductor (Tech):
  • Deal damage to nearby enemies, deals additional damage to enemies already in conductor space.
• Discharge (Singular):
  • Skill gathers and releases electricity to discharge very forcefully, it’s a charging type skill, meaning you can maximize damage with longer charging, enemies already in conductor space receive additional damage
• Snail Hunter (Tech – Ultimate):
  • Throws a plasma acceleration coil that deals AoE damage over time, buffs Ines Raya damage and movement speed

New skins

On X, Nexon has shown a new skin that will accompany the release of Ines Raya on January 16th. The skin comes with longer blonde hair tied in a ponytail, and the outfit reveals way more skin.

In addition to this outfit, Nexon showed two others during the livestream for Ines Raya. They give her long, flowing blonde hair, and they keep her head-to-toe body armor, but this time in the more stylish red and white.

On January 16th, there will also be the release of skins celebrating Lunar New Year.

Lunar New Year event rewards

Alongside skins, Nexon will celebrate Lunar New Year with an event for players to enjoy and complete. The rewards for this event are daily tokens.

Below are details for Lunar New Year event so far:

January 16th – February 13th:

• Earn event tokens via daily missions
  • Common: Exchange crystalization Catalyst, Advanced Shape Stablizer, Boosts, etc.
• Week 1 -2:
  • Exchange weapon box, energy activators, etc.
• Week 3 – 4:
  • Exchange social motions, back attachment, sprays etc.
