It’s been a busy couple of weeks for fans of The Finals. Embark recently celebrated Valentine’s with an explosive event, and they just recently shared some buffs and nerfs as part of update 5.9.0. Now the CNS are back, and they have returned with a bang by introducing Team Deathmatch. The mode is now available to play, and here’s everything you need to know about Team Deathmatch in The Finals.

The Finals Team Deathmatch

There were leaks that suggested Team Deathmatch was being added to The Finals via the CNS, and then Embark officially teased the mode for February 14th. Thankfully, Embark delivered, and the mode is now available to play.

Unfortunately, as per a screenshot from ReachTheLeaks, there is the notification of 19 days remaining. This suggests that the mode is, unfortunately, limited-time only with a deadline of March 5th.

On The Finals Discord, Embark, under the guise of the CNS, has shared the official rules:

  • 5v5
  • 3 rounds
  • First team to 30,000 wins
  • No mercy, no ties
  • Be first or be last

In addition, Team Deathmatch is currently the focal point of World Tour. It is for the following arenas:

  • Fortune Stadium
  • Bernal
  • SYS$HORIZON
  • Skyway Stadium

While it appears the mode is limited-time only, hopefully there is the chance it can become permanent. Terminal Attack was originally an LTM, but, thanks to fan demand, Embark made it permanent with some changes.

As for what else there is to look forward to for The Finals, Embark has confirmed a stun gun rework for update 5.10.0 as revealed in the 5.8.0 patch notes. The developer is also hosting an AMA session on February 19th via Reddit.
