The Finals Season 4 hints “might be hidden” in next update

We are getting closer to the arrival of The Finals Season 4, meaning we should be getting official news about the upcoming chapter soon. Right now we have only been given teases that have fuelled the desire amongst fans to learn the new theme and location. While nothing has been revealed yet, Embark has teased The Finals Season 4 hints “might be hidden” in the next update.

The release date for The Finals Season 4 is September 25th judging by the in-game countdown. We will be getting a preview of the chapter at San Diego TwitchCon on September 20th, but we are anticipating leaks and news before then. Embark has teased “official leak-week” is here, and Embark Rob has also previously teased their “absolute favourite weapon” is joining the game in S4.

While we are hoping for a leak very soon, we should also keep our eyes peeled for clues in the newest upcoming update.

On The Finals Discord, Embark Rob has earned a reputation for delivering ‘leaks,’ as well as teasing the community with abstract comments about new content set to arrive.

They have leaked facial hair as a new customization option in-development for classes, and Rob has also said he really wants to leak the Season 4 OST.

In addition to the above, on September 2nd, Rob was asked if he has any leaks to share for S4. Rob responded, “hehe, some hints might be hidden in the next update…”.

The “next update” presumably means the patch expected for this week following on from update 3.11.0. New updates typically come out on Wednesday, but they have sometimes been delayed to Thursday, or even Friday in the most rarest circumstances.

We don’t know what the hints could be, but the most likely is probably Easter eggs to find around maps. This is something that happened prior to the launch of Season 3, with players finding a spraypainted fish as an Easter egg that helped the community accurately guess Season 3 was located in Japan.

In addition to implying there will be clues within this week’s update, Rob perhaps hinted at a Norse mythology theme. Asked why Embark hasn’t done a Norse/Viking theme yet, Rob responded, “Well, there are some norse hints, cluse and theme in the current EE-level…”.
